About Team:
This role is mainly within the Digital Engineering team at Target Tech. Our goal is to create a top-notch shopping experience for our customers through the target.com website and the flagship Android and iOS apps, making it personalized and rewarding. We continuously innovate and experiment to offer unique experiences that provides inspirations and easy discoverability of the right product at the right time for our guests and help fulfil the order using the convenient fulfilment method.
In this journey, we aim to develop category-based end-to-end experiences for guests, covering discovery, inspiration, purchase, and post-transaction stages. Technologically, we are adopting a new scalable architecture to accelerate the implementation of our digital strategy. This means we are not only driving our ambitious digital shopping goals but also building new technological foundations to expedite our entire time-to-market strategy.
About SEM: The Sr. Engineering Manager (SEM) is responsible for leading high performing team of frontend engineers who will be focussing on building new category based end to end experiences on target.com website and flagship Android and iOS apps. This role is accountable for team’s high quality and high performant code, technical roadmap and decisions, upholding engineering and security best practices, stakeholder management and strong partnership with product and UX leaders. The role also demands building strong partnership with the global engineering and product teams and working with many other experience teams in order to deliver the end to end funnel experience for our guests. Success in this role will require strong and innovative approaches to problem solving, great technical leadership, excellent communication (written and verbal, formal and informal), flexibility, accountability and a self-motivated working style with attention to detail.
