To ensure highly reliable, efficient, and optimized Quality Management processes within SAP S/4HANA and SAP EWM QIE. The role stabilizes end‑to‑end Quality Management processes, supports business users through L2/L3 sustain operations, supports continuous improvement, and ensures seamless integration across Quality Management Processes in Procurement, Manufacturing and Supply Chain  Execution modules. The position directly contributes to manufacturing and supply chain service levels, capacity utilization, and operational excellence in the GBS Sustain Operations environment.

Tasks*

1) Main tasks:

  Provide L2/L3 support for SAP S/4HANA QM processes, including QM in procurement, manufacturing and supply chain execution especially in connection with a decentralized SAP EWM using the QIE integration

  Monitor and manage, background jobs, CIF integration queues, and exception messages; troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks.

  Perform configuration and fine‑tuning of key QM objects:

  • Inspection Planning
  • Quality Result Recording
  • Usage Decisions
  • Certificate Management
  • Quality Notifications
  • Supplier Qualification
  • Batch Management
  • Setup of the SAP EWM Quality Inspection Engine

  Support master data governance for inspection plans, quality info records, inspection type setup, material master and classification, as well as batch classification

 Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks of medical device and pharma industry

  Support integration across PP, MM-PUR, LE, SD and APO/IBP, ensuring consistent end‑to‑end integration of the QM enabling processes.

  Support integration of external LIMS, CAQ, PDM, RIMS and TRAKWISE integration to the S/4 HANA ERP

  Manage change requests and enhancement deployments in alignment with global process owners and IT governance.

  Document QM configurations, processes and enhancements for IT compliance and know how management

  Support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives to enhance regulatory compliance and automize the QM processes.

  Support Quality Engineers, Quality Assurance Departments and Regulatory Responsible persons with system expertise and troubleshooting guidance

2) Secondary tasks:

  Develop training materials and conduct sessions for Quality Engineers, Quality Assurance Departments and Regulatory Responsible persons.

  Support SIT/UAT during release cycles, upgrades, and functional enhancements.

3) Miscellaneous tasks:

  Support new plant onboarding and QM template rollouts.

  Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity simulations.

Qualifications, experience, know-how and skills critical for success*

1) Required training and education:

  Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Management, or related fields.

  SAP QM / EWM certification advantageous.

2) Required professional experience (in years):

  6–9 years in Quality Management in the Life Sciences.

  4+ years hands‑on SAP QM (S/4HANA preferred) and SAP EWM QIE

  Experience in manufacturing environments across discrete/process industries.

  GBS/CoE or sustain operations experience preferred.

3) Important personal qualities:

  Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

  Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

  High level of accuracy and structured working style.

  Capability to adapt in an international and cultural diverse environment

  Ability to work under pressure and manage operational priorities.
