About the Role

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will partner and provides assistance and input to management, develops and leads large multifunctional development activities, solves complex technical problems, writes complex code for computer systems, and serves as a senior source of expertise. The position may also provide sizing or budget recommendations to management.

Required Technical Skills

  • 10+ years' experience of Software development process expert in applicable methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Expertise in data modelling, design and manipulation, optimization, best practices, tuning, and leading industry trend knowledge.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in core Java & advanced Java, Spring, Spring boot, Hibernate, Kafka, Micro services etc
  • Understanding and having experience developing REST API
  • Expertise in development of highly scalable and available systems.
  • Solid knowledge of architectural principles.
  • Hands on AWS experience (S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda, EMR)
  • Experience with databases like Oracle, Postgres and , NoSQL data stores like Casandra, Solr, Elastic search etc
  • Good understanding of Kafka
  • Experience with version control systems (ideally Git)
  • Experience with CI (ideally Jenkins)
  • Advanced problem-solving experience involving leading teams in identifying, researching, and coordinating the resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot/diagnose complex project issues
  • Advanced communication (verbal and written) skills. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills applicable
  • Ability to partner and lead internal and external technology resources in solving complex business needs.
  • Troubleshoot/diagnose complex project issues; prior success extracting/translating findings into alternatives/solutions; and identifying risks/impacts and schedule adjustments to facilitate management decision-making.
  • Work closely with the team, explain the requirements and the design approach, integrating data from various resources, help to support them to resolve any technical challenges they face, writing complex queries.
  • Maintaining the existing systems and enhancing to meet the customer needs
  • Continuously look for performance tuning and optimization.
  • Working closely with Product Managers to create and verify new use cases
  • Collaborating with Data Scientist to prototype concepts relevant to Researchers.
