If you love to build the most innovative selling experience on one of the world largest eCommerce platforms, please join the eBay Selling team in eBay China Center of Excellence (CCOE) at Shanghai. This team will

  • build tools to help our sellers manage their listings on eBay.
  • build marketing capability to enable our sellers to increase their sales by coupons, seller initiated offers, etc.

We are looking for highly motivated and talented software engineer architect or tech lead who have experiences or potentials. As a valued member of the team, you will learn the most advanced technology in web application development, big data, machine learning, and client-side applications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Active contributor on architect design, development, test of complex, multi-tier software applications.
  • Work with other engineers, managers, product managers to develop innovative solutions that meet needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability while meeting realistic implementation schedules and adhering to development goals and principles.
  • Estimate engineering efforts, plan implementations, and rollout system changes.
  • Develop industry and product technical expertise.
  • Proactively participate in maintaining team standards and best practices
  • Understand the broader business context around their area and provide intelligent solution.
  • Lead agile team, management team project and mentor/support junior team members in the team

Job Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent).
  • 7+ years’ work experience in software development area with at least 5+ years’ experience in Java programming and web development
  • Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, good at triaging and resolving critical tech issues without supervision.
  • Expertise required in object-oriented design methodology and application development in Java and JavaEE, including Spring, Spring Boot, Html, JavaScript, etc.
  • Expertise required in large scale web application development and skills in React and NodeJS will be a big plus.
