Are you a detail driven problem solver with a passion for safeguarding businesses from risk? Join us as a first-line Risk and Compliance Analyst and be the key to our company’s resilience and integrity!  

As a first-line Hatch Risk and Compliance Analyst you will work closely with our customers and teams to support us delivering our business to customers safely. You will want to make things happen, have a keen eye for detail and be able to work closely within a diverse agile environment.  

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with first line risk and compliance-related matters, ensuring that related procedures, business processes and controls remain current and providing guidance to relevant Hatch teams;

  • Stay up to date with regulatory and business change, recommending and/or making changes to procedures, business processes and control as necessary;

  • Support day to day and ad hoc risk and compliance reporting requirements including keeping risk relevant risk systems up to date and supporting group reporting, regulatory filings and internal audit;

  • Monitor customer account activity and incoming AML/CFT or other risk alerts, initially assessing and taking appropriate action on them, working with AMLCO team where appropriate;

  • Support the customer experience including through proactive management of customer complaints, data privacy issues and third-party requests;

  • Undertake any other projects/ tasks as may be required in order to support the delivery of the Hatch business.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 2 years’ experience working within Risk and Compliance or relevant fields.

  • Be able to work with and communicate to a diverse audience

  • An understanding of the Privacy Act and/or the AML/CFT Act and associated processes supporting regulatory compliance

  • Experience in and knowledge of the New Zealand Financial Sector regulatory regime

  • Able to work within an agile environment

  • Be proficient in using Microsoft suites.
