Why Sarepta? Why Now?

The promise of genetic medicine has arrived, and Sarepta is at the forefront. We hold a leadership position in Duchenne muscular dystrophy (Duchenne) and are building a robust portfolio of programs across muscle, central nervous system, and cardiac diseases. In 2023, we launched our fourth therapy and the first ever gene therapy to treat Duchenne.

We’re looking for people who see unlimited potential in themselves and who are motivated by an unwavering commitment to patients.

What Sarepta Offers

At Sarepta, we care deeply about all the people in our community and believe in the importance of supporting them in all aspects of their lives. We aspire to maintain a culture that acknowledges people bring their whole selves to work, and we will strive to help everyone in our community integrate their work and personal lives while maintaining productivity.

The Importance of the Role

The International Patient Services Intern will play an essential part in supporting Sarepta’s growing global patient services function as we introduce new program capabilities and transition key elements of SareptAlly inhouse. This role provides hands on exposure to international business operations, pharmaceutical program execution, global patient support models, and posttrial transitions to partner organizations.

The intern will contribute to the launch of a new patient services system, assist with cross functional coordination, and help build scalable processes that improve patient experience across regions. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn how patient programs are structured, governed, and operationalized within the pharmaceutical industry while supporting initiatives that directly impact patients and families around the world.

The Opportunity to Make a Difference

  • Support the launch of a new international patient services system, including documentation, process mapping, and readiness activities.

  • Assist in bringing components of SareptAlly inhouse by helping develop workflows, intake procedures, and operational standards.

  • Contribute to posttrial transition activities, supporting handoffs from Sarepta to partner organizations and ensuring continuity of patient support.

  • Provide support for new global program offerings by organizing materials, tracking progress, and coordinating with internal stakeholders.

  • Help review and refine international program documentation, guidance materials, and stakeholder communications.

  • Conduct research on international patient support models, countryspecific requirements, industry benchmarks, and best practices.

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams—including Medical Affairs, Patient Advocacy, Supply Chain, and Regulatory—to ensure alignment across patientfacing processes.

  • Assist with preparing presentations, reports, and updates related to program development and execution.

More about You

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in global healthcare, social work/psychology with interest in patient services, public health, life sciences, or international business.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to clarity and detail.

  • Curiosity about how pharmaceutical patient programs are designed and implemented across different countries.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal teams and external partners.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize information and generate insights.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) preferred.

Program Timeline

This application is for a 12-week summer internship program that will start on May 18th and conclude on August 7th, 2026.
