The Director of CTEM Development defines the technical vision and strategic direction for Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) and leads the engineering, innovation, and operation of enterprise-scale exposure management platforms. The role establishes competitive standards, strategic goals, and engineering objectives while overseeing scanning, discovery, configuration assessment, exposure validation, and telemetry capabilities that support hybrid environments across Global Cyber Security.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
The Director oversees engineering, operation, and continuous improvement of CTEM platforms, including scanning, discovery, configuration assessment, exposure validation, and telemetry. They lead the global engineering lifecycle, including architecture for distributed assessment engines, telemetry pipelines, detection logic, secure configuration evaluation, and adversarial validation workflows. The role drives automation-first engineering and ensures excellence in CI/CD, secure coding, testing, observability, and reliability to deliver scalable and resilient platforms.
The Director ensures CTEM platforms meet operational, reliability, scalability, and performance standards, while leading technical analysis to improve detection accuracy, discovery fidelity, telemetry quality, and overall exposure reduction. They own the global CTEM roadmap, set engineering strategies, and define technical direction aligned with broader cybersecurity and business goals.
The role collaborates across internal teams—including SDLC, Security Architecture, and Product—to ensure interoperability and alignment with enterprise standards. They support financial and operational planning, prepare and manage budgets, monitor forecasts and expenditures, and guide headcount strategy. They establish reporting standards, track engineering progress, analyze costs, and use operational metrics to drive measurable outcomes. Vendor and partner management is also a key responsibility.
The Director leads globally distributed engineering teams, including managers and professional staff. They oversee staffing, performance management, skills development, and retention. They build development programs, training initiatives, and operational procedures to ensure teams meet organizational expectations.
The role communicates engineering strategy across the organization, delegates effectively, and ensures timely execution. It supports global incident readiness, exposure investigations, and critical decision-making. The Director ensures that resources, processes, and controls are in place to meet business and security objectives.
