Staff Accountant, Grove

Pay Details:

The starting hourly rate range for this position is $30.00 to $36.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered will take internal value, peer equity, job-related factors, and other organizational considerations into account.

The Grove Staff Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the venue’s financial operations. This role’s primary responsibility will be to process and assist with various accounting and reporting tasks, ensure compliance with established accounting principles and procedures, and support management and cross-functional teams as needed. With strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset, where change is expected and “on-your-feet” thinking is commonplace, this role dynamically contributes to the efficient and effective functioning of the Accounting and Finance department.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and record journal entries accurately and timely as part of the monthly closing process

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, perform thorough account analyses and transaction research, and resolve issues and discrepancies timely

  • Utilize the financial ERP system (Microsoft D365) efficiently and effectively to support transaction processing, research, analysis, and reporting

  • Prepare and provide supporting documentation to requesting parties as needed

  • Provide accounting support to specific internal cross-functional teams, including assistance with periodic forecasting/budgeting and cash flow planning

  • Support various external third-party audits when necessary

  • Collaborate with other team members and management toward the continuous improvement of internal processes, procedures, and controls within the department

  • Assist in special projects and ad-hoc reporting as assigned

  • Perform and complete event settlements (Concerts + Special Events) directly with the associated external promoter(s)

Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required

  • 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 software is preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical abilities

  • Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and independently and consistently meet or exceed deadlines

  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities

  • A highly motivated and energetic team player with a strong customer service focus and interpersonal skills
