Franklin Templeton Companies LLC seeks a Senior Software Engineer, in Boston, MA.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Senior Software Engineer?

The Senior Software Engineer will provide support for various applications, including front-end debugging and application deployment using Python and Angular.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field or equivalent.

Must include three (3) years of experience with the following responsibilities, skills and/or tools:

  • Leveraging AWS and DevOps to adapt content and ensure level of detail meets needs.

  • Working with scrum team to define and build functionality for user stories.

  • Assessing components of technology stacks to ensure seamless interaction and set up and working with deployment pipelines.

  • Working on investment systems for fixed income, equity, derivatives, currency, and reference data management.

  • Conducting full-stack software development and maintenance of existing applications using modern frameworks and tools including Java, Python, Angular, Docker, and Git.

  • Working on bug fixes and features, enhancements of existing systems, and testing of functionality.

There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $143,222 - $191,200 USD / year.
