We are looking for a graphic design intern who is passionate about great design, with solid user experience skills, to help build the Simon brand across multiple platforms. The ability to create visual solutions with a strong design aesthetic in layout and typography for our on-line channels, including website, display, social and email marketing is essential. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with a strong visual portfolio spanning personal projects and class-level work that reflects an ability to conceptualize stylish, elevated ideas.

Responsibilities:

• Work on the creative services team as a cross-platform designer in support of a strong, consistent brand identity
• Ideate compelling ideas and developing those ideas into clear design solutions
• Collaborate with a talented team of designers and account leads
• Present concepts and creative ideas to internal creative team
• Prioritize a workload of multiple projects from concept to completion
• Conceptualize and craft beautiful brand campaigns
• Optimize digital images for responsive design
• Develop clean and effective graphic templates, PowerPoints and field guides  

Qualifications:

• A portfolio demonstrating expertise in design with applications in branding, marketing and corporate communications if possible
• Majoring in Graphic Design BFA and/or equivalent education in graphic design study
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with particular strength in Photoshop and InDesign
• Skills in Motion design and After Effects and/or HTML/CSS a plus
