The Sales Order Processing Specialist is responsible for accurately processing customer sales orders from receipt through fulfillment. This role ensures timely order entry, validates pricing and product information, coordinates with internal teams, and provides excellent internal customer service throughout the order lifecycle. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, review, and process customer purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
Verify order details, including pricing, product availability, quantities and customer information.
Enter and maintain orders within the order management system.
Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service and Delivery teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Resolve order discrepancies and pricing issues
Process order modifications
Maintain accurate customer and product records.
Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and contractual agreements.
Prepare reports related to order volumes, fulfillment status, and service levels.
Support month-end activities and documentation requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve order processing efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in sales order processing, customer service, or order management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in high volume order processing environment
Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
Experience handling domestic and international orders.
