Job Purpose

The Production Support Security Analyst is responsible for processing change controls into all required environments and platforms. The Analyst performs support activities which include security configuration, key management, job scheduling, program changes, incident management, and problem resolution. This role will install, configure, and maintain software tools used for secure file transfers, in support of enterprise file transfer service. In addition, analysis and testing will be performed to aid in the implementation of improvements and efficiencies to Jackson's systems or processes.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Helps ensure appropriate security of data transferred to approved business partners.

  • Collaborates with development teams, infrastructure teams and external business partners to set up, maintain and troubleshoot file transfer connections.

  • Creates, maintains and shares technical documentation related to supporting our enterprise file transfer service.

  • Processes multi-platform change control while adhering to defined procedures.

  • Ensures audit and quality control processes are maintained in all change requests.

  • Enforces department standards for compliance and security.

  • Contributes in the resolution of failures and outages.

  • Reviews incident tickets to identify patterns of abends/outages and facilitates problem resolution.

  • Provides reporting for change and incident/problem management.

  • Provides 24X7 hour on-call support for the Data Center on a rotational basis.

  • Follows processes and procedures while maintaining attention to detailed configuration requirements.

  • Participates in the planning and execution of special projects.

  • Identifies opportunities for improving processes.

  • Assists in the testing and implementation of tools and methods to automate processes.

  • Participates in Disaster Recovery Testing.

Other Duties

  • Ability to provide on-call support, as needed.

  • Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of the following:

    • Automated scheduling processes

    • Change Control processes

    • Scripting languages

  • Experience and knowledge of IT operations, including networking, virtualization, identity, security and governance.

  • Strong analytical skills, effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and in teams.

  • Ability to analyze current and future needs, implementing automation for scalable deployment, and using cloud-native services to adapt easily to changing demand.

  • Ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workloads.

  • Ability to adapt to the use of new technologies as they are acquired or adopted within IT.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in a multi-platform environment.

  • Good customer service skills.

  • Ability to work as a team to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

  • Knowledge of MS Office products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Information Systems and/or equivalent experience required.

  • 3+ years Operating System experience (UNIX, Linux, Windows, etc.) required.

  • Experience working in an Azure preferred.

  • Information Security experience and certifications preferred (CISSP, Security+, etc.) preferred.
