About the Opportunity

As part of the Brand & Product Marketing Department, and reporting to the Brand Design Manager, the Brand Marketing Specialist serves as a key role in Driscoll’s brand building programs and activities around increasing brand awareness, broadening consumer demand and strengthening brand affinity with our core berry users. The Brand Marketing Specialist will specifically focus on the development and execution of best-in-class marketing assets that are aligned with our brand positioning and brand strategy. The Brand Marketing Specialist will drive efforts to create brand assets (photography, lifestyle, etc.) while managing the digital asset management platform. The ideal candidate is passionate about building a beloved brand and championing the consumer. The Brand Marketing Specialist must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and complex environment as well as working with external agencies and cross-functional teams.

 

Responsibilities

Brand Development

• In this role, you will work within the Brand Marketing team to drive development and execution of integrated brand marketing campaigns to tell our brand story and build brand affinity.

• Partner across Brand Marketing team, including the digital and shopper teams to develop best in class marketing assets aligned with our brand positioning and brand strategy

• Write creative briefs and manage process and output of external agency partners to ensure creative assets are on-brand

• Lead the development and execution of trade advertising campaigns, including development of a tactical plan, advertising budget, and media placement activities

• Manage the branded merchandise program, including collaboration with vendors, selection of branded merchandise items, program budget, and order/inventory management

• Responsible for photoshoot planning and post-production collaboration to drive development of new brand assets

Brand Stewardship

• Understand and effectively express the brand’s visual identity and strategy in all creative executions to deliver consistent brand expression that ladders up to the global brand positioning for all consumer-facing touchpoints

• Provide guidance and feedback to agencies/partners/content creators to ensure marketing assets adhere to brand style guidelines and communicate a cohesive brand image

• Maintain brand style guidelines and ensure all marketing assets adhere to brand standards that define visual identity, tone of voice, messaging, and overall brand personality and imagery

Digital Asset Management Platform

• Management and governance of the digital asset management platform, including organization of assets, metadata management, usage rights and permission and team training

Additional Responsibilities

• Manage trade advertising, design and branded merchandise budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient allocation of resources

• Work collaboratively to develop brand assets and brand tools to support sales and product teams, and internal cross functional partners to execute on brand and sales strategy

   

Candidate Profile

•    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration
•    1-3 years of Marketing experience
•    Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with external agencies and manage multiple projects across the enterprise
•    Demonstrated strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Self-directed, strong project management and prioritization capabilities
•    Ability to work independently and though a collaborative team setting
•    Sound understanding of research principles/techniques and consumer insight application
•    Advanced level of computer skills including use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•    California driver’s license and the ability to be covered under company-sponsored vehicle insurance program
•    A valid passport and the ability to travel internationally without restrictions

Compensation & Benefits:

The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the salary range and benefits for the position posted.  The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors.

Salary Range estimated for the Brand Marketing Specialist: $70,000 to $75,000 USD.
