Learn the basic metallurgical and mechanical properties of Thermal Spray coatings.
Perform daily pre-operational tests on Thermal Spray equipment and systems under supervision.
Interpret methods and process parameters with guidance.
Assist 04Y Coaters in setting up, troubleshooting, and performing complex Thermal Spray Coating operations using manual and computer-controlled equipment.
Provide fill-in support for 04Y Coaters when trained and approved by leadership.
Prepare, clean, finish, and inspect parts as required.
Assist in troubleshooting equipment and process issues in coating cells, guns, feeders, etc.
Support manufacturing team tasks including 5S duties, inspections, and preparation areas.
Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Quality initiatives.
Must successfully pass a Written Assessment (study guide provided in advance).
Preferred: Experience operating and maintaining CNC or PLC-controlled machinery.
Demonstrated ability to learn complex setup and operation of Thermal Spray systems (Plasma and HVOF).
Ability to understand and eventually perform diagnostic tests on Thermal Spray systems.
Capable of interpreting technical drawings and specifications related to electromechanical equipment.
Detail-oriented with the ability to monitor and record equipment performance data accurately.
Must have a “Meets Expectations” or better on the most recent performance appraisal.
No disciplinary actions within the last 12 months.
Must meet current position time-in-role requirements.
Prior experience in Coating or Flame Spray operations will be given strong consideration.
Documentation of relevant prior experience must be submitted with the application and will be evaluated by the hiring manager.
Pay Rate: The pay for this position is $24.876 - $26.100. This position is also eligible for shift premium when you work on an off shift i.e. 2nd or 3rd shift. Plus $1.00 USD an hour on top of base pay. This posting is expected to close on Dec 15th, 2025.
