Job Purpose:

Our Prepress Operator will be responsible for preparing digital files for printing by reviewing, correcting, and optimizing them to meet printing specifications. This role ensures that all files are correctly formatted, color-calibrated, and proofed before production to guarantee high-quality output and efficient press runs.

Job Responsibilities:

● Review and prepare customer supplied artwork for printing, ensuring all files meet technical and design requirements.
● Operate prepress software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Kodak Prinergy) to process and optimize files.
● Generate proofs and conduct quality checks for accuracy, color fidelity, and compliance with client specifications.
● Prepare imposition layouts for printing.
● Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the prepress process.
● Collaborate with designers, production teams, and press operators to ensure smooth workflow from file receipt to press.
● Other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

● Strong knowledge of print production processes (offset, digital, flexo, large format).

● Understanding of CMYK, spot colors, and ICC color profiles.

Work Experience:

● 5-10 years of related job experience.

Education:

● High School Diploma/GED Preferred

● Certificate - Graphic Design
