Mission:
New Balance’s Corporate Public Relations & Government Affairs team is responsible for shaping the company’s external narrative while building meaningful connections across media, government, and the communities where our associates live and work. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams, nonprofit partners, and agency collaborators to help elevate New Balance’s brand reputation and community presence. This role is designed for a proactive communicator who is curious, organized, and eager to learn in a fastpaced corporate environment.
Major Accountabilities:
• Assist in drafting and editing communications materials, including press releases, event summaries, and executive talking points, and social media posts.
• Help develop internal communications content and collect supporting photos to enhance corporate storytelling.
• Support relationship management with key New England and U.S. nonprofit partners.
• Assist with planning and execution of community events, volunteer activities, and partner activations. • Assist in organizing content for the annual Sustainability & Impact Report, including data collection, narrative drafting, and asset coordination.
• Maintain organized project trackers, timelines, and shared documents across the Corporate Comms & Community Affairs SharePoint.
Requirements for Success:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sport Leadership & Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related fields.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, stay organized, and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Interest in community engagement, corporate social responsibility, and purpose-driven brand storytelling.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint).
• A collaborative mindset, positive attitude, and curiosity about the sports industry.
Boston, MA Headquarters - (NB) Only Pay Range: $25.15 - $31.45 - $37.75 Hourly (actual base pay varying based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.)Regular Associate Benefits

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
