Job Summary:

Under the routine supervision of the Payroll Compliance Manager, this position is responsible for supporting all activities related to Payroll tax, payroll compliance and payroll accounting. The incumbent will assist Payroll with compliance, payroll accounting, payroll tax, and ensuring processes and procedures are up to date and implemented.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Payroll Team with monitoring SOX compliance in payroll processes, policies and controls

• Support internal and external audit requests

• Perform periodic audits of payroll processes

• Responsible for payroll accounting activities

• Response for wage payment compliance

• Provide guidance and support on Tier 3 response to payroll policy questions

• Keep abreast of current payroll tax requirements and advise management on pay practices, tax compliance issues, fringe benefit reporting processes, etc.

• Research and evaluate laws and regulations regarding taxes and payroll withholding procedures

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; 1 year or more of related experience, education or training

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Finance or related field with 2 or more years of related experience, education or training
  • Experience in a call center environment, Payroll, Finance or Human Resources
  • Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment
  • Ability to be both flexible and adaptable
  • Ability to communicate effectively through all mediums
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and peers
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.  This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
