Job Description:
Dave & Buster’s is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Manager/Manager of FP&A (Sales Planning) to join our Corporate FP&A team. As a Senior Manager/Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting our financial planning and analysis efforts, helping Dave & Buster’s make informed financial decisions, and driving business growth. You will be responsible for planning and forecasting sales, analyzing sales drivers, preparing reports and defining the short- and long-term planning process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define short-term and long-term sales forecast and planning process, considering internal and external sales drivers
- Collaborate with key departments to include key internal drivers of sales inputs
- Analyze key financial metrics and KPIs to identify trends, strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
- Create, document, and manage the sales and volume plan of record, owning official plan submission and all future-looking scenario planning optimized for high-level company priorities and objectives.
- Actively communicate with the field, Retail Operations, Strategy and Operations finance team(s), to monitor and understand demand and sales trends in real time.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Collaborate with department heads and senior management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Work with the Ops. Finance team to ensure COGS and Labor accurate and in line with sales
- Monitor and analyze budget-to-actual variances and provide explanations and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate various scenarios
- Perform cannibalization analysis with competitors & new location openings.
- Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to assess potential risks and opportunities.
- Prepare and present financial reports, summaries, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Create visually appealing dashboards and reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (master’s degree or CFA/CPA certification is a plus).
- 3+ years of experience in sales forecasting and modeling
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel).
- Knowledge of financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, financial planning software EPM (Oracle, and Power BI).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and interact effectively with various departments.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Experience with multi-unit (restaurant, retail) would be a plus.
- Experience with F&B analysis would be a plus.
