Job Description Summary

The Senior Lean Project Manager is responsible for delivering plant-wide Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost related improvements through owning Roadmap action implementations and strict follow-up of Kaizen newspaper. Approaching the Value Stream Target Conditions by eliminating Safety risks, implementing zero-defect culture and connecting processes to reach laminar flow and WIP/LT reduction. Coordinate and teach the organization of Daily Management System, Standard Work, Pull system, 5S and all other Lean tool and methods to accelerate the Lean transformation.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Kaizen events in line with the Plant Roadmap schedule.
  • Support transactional Kaizens to improve information lead time and foster a collaborative culture between Operations and other functions.
  • Coordinate follow-up actions for all Roadmap items and ensure Kaizen is established in all production areas.
  • Lead Lean improvement projects from definition through implementation and follow-up.
  • Establish new plant-wide Lean projects and monitor the daily performance of implemented ones.
  • Teach fundamental Lean principles (e.g., laminar flow and pull) in manufacturing, and help the organization understand how shopfloor KPIs connect to plant-level KPIs across all SQDCP aspects.
  • Support the implementation of Lean Production System elements; regularly coordinate plant self-assessments and manage action plans to reach higher maturity levels.
  • Coach all organizational levels and staff members on achieving their goals while maintaining Lean principles.
  • Prepare presentation materials for regular Lean reviews and present them to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Execute the Plant Roadmap by coaching and supporting all Lean Leaders across all CoEs.
  • Rigorously follow up on Kaizen implementation through regular (30/60/90-day) Gemba walks, monitor results, and report to the Staff and Plant Manager.
  • Organize and lead Kaizen events in accordance with the Plant Roadmap and changing business needs.
  • Ensure Lean tools (such as Standard Work, 5S, etc.) are properly used in the defined areas.
  • Create regular (weekly, monthly, quarterly) reports for the Staff and Senior Leadership Team on Roadmap implementation progress, based on factual data, including line-level and plant-level KPIs, completed actions, and reasons for any delays.
  • Lead the Plant Roadmap and drive cross-functional results.
  • Involve and engage all organizational levels in Kaizen events, promoting creativity and openness in a psychologically safe environment.
  • Promote Lean culture by teaching Lean tools and methods—from direct workers to Staff members—through Gemba walks and trainings, and ensure a proper understanding of Kaizen.
  • Actively participate in mandatory EHS trainings and events.
  • Comply with EHS rules and encourage others to do the same.
  • Immediately report incidents and near-misses to line management and the EHS department.
  • Immediately stop operations when life-threatening or serious injury risks are identified.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college Engineering field of study
  • Experience: Significant hands-on experience in Lean deployment and driving changes in production shop floor through strategic projects
