Job Summary

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to provide operational support for our global IT infrastructure. This is a hands-on role focused on execution, including server patching, backup management, file services support, and assisting with device management tools.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and an effective communicator. This position is remote and will follow U.S. East Coast hours (night shift, PH time).

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support Windows Server infrastructure both on-premises and in the cloud, including patching, certificates, file/print services, and basic administration.
• Operate and monitor enterprise backup systems (Veeam) to ensure recoverability and compliance with retention requirements.
• Perform patching and updates using WSUS, Windows Update for Business, and SCCM.
• Assist with endpoint management tasks in SCCM and Intune under senior engineer guidance.
• Support enterprise file services (e.g., Nasuni), including user access, quotas, file shares, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, and performance; resolve infrastructure hardware and software issues.
• Create and maintain PowerShell scripts for routine tasks, reporting, and automation of common processes.
• Work tickets within ITSM (FreshService): resolve incidents, document root causes, maintain CMDB accuracy, and contribute to runbooks.
• Follow established management practices and participate in maintenance activities, including after-hours windows when required.
• Document procedures and keep knowledge articles current.
• Collaborate with regional colleagues, providing reliable coverage during US business hours.

Qualifications Required:

• 3–5+ years of experience in systems administration.
• Strong experience with Windows Server patching and administration, including WSUS and Windows Update for Business.
• Familiarity with enterprise backup solutions (Veeam preferred).
• Experience supporting enterprise file services (Nasuni or similar).
• Exposure to endpoint management tools (SCCM, Intune).
• Basic scripting/automation with PowerShell.
• Experience with monitoring tools for servers and infrastructure.
• Proactive, communicative, and detail-oriented; able to flag issues early, follow through to closure, and clearly document findings.
• Strong written and verbal English and ability to collaborate across time zones.
• Provide reliable support during US business hours and participate in after-hours coverage for priority incidents and maintenance windows.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services (IaaS, storage, RBAC).
• Basic exposure to Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams).
• Knowledge of the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry and related workflows.
• Experience with project/task tracking tools such as Asana.
