About the Role 

Are you looking for an exciting and engaging summer internship? AltaGas is seeking two interns to join our Business Development team!

As a Business Development & Regulatory Intern, you will support initiatives that drive growth and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks. This role is ideal for students who are interested in commercial strategy, market research, and understanding how regulation impacts business opportunities in the energy sector. 

What You’ll Do 

Depending on placement, your responsibilities may include: 

Business Development 

  • Learn how business opportunities are evaluated and supported within the energy sector. 

  • Assist with research and analysis to inform strategic planning and growth initiatives. 

  • Help prepare materials for internal discussions and leadership reviews. 

  • Participate in team meetings and assist with ad hoc tasks as needed 

Business Development & Regulatory 

  • Gain exposure to regulatory frameworks and their impact on business activities. 

  • Assist with compiling information for compliance and reporting purposes. 

  • Support projects that connect policy considerations to commercial strategies. 

  • Participate in team meetings and assist with ad hoc tasks as needed 

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Currently enrolled in Business, Economics, Finance or related program 

  • Strong research and analytical skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint). 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Interest in energy markets, regulatory policy, and commercial strategy.
