What to expect in this role:

  • Work with the Product Owner and Squad members to develop, test, configure, upgrade and maintain F5 ADC Infrastructure (On-prem and Cloud flavors) in line with agreed requirements
  • Work with your team to implement and operate your solutions
  • Deploy infrastructure and perform maintenance according to our change management processes
  • Collaborate with our internal and external customers following DevOps/Agile principles and best practices
  • Assist in developing and maintaining technical documentation
  • Interact and collaborate with other internal teams to ensure excellent customer satisfaction
  • Handle issues always focusing on continuous improvement: you will automate, educate and share knowledge transparently
  • Opportunity to develop yourself and others in a true DevOps agile environment.
  • This position is mission critical and offers flexible work (minimum 2 days onsite and maximum 3 days from home – per week)
  • Willing to perform weekend deployment activities and on-call on a rotational basis with peer team members (Estimated: One Saturday out of 4 weekends)

Technical skills & knowledge

Required technical skills

  • Hands-on experience and advanced expertise on F5 load balancer technology
  • F5 experience/certification minimum 201 level
  • Expertise in LTM, ASM, irules, AS3 and security
  • Experience with Python and Shell script development
  • Experience with Linux Operating System – Familiar with OS commands, disk volumes, process, basic health monitoring knowledge
  • Hand-on experience with Ansible, able to develop playbooks, test and deploy
  • Quick learner and Capable of troubleshooting ADC related and configuration issues
  • Familiarity with Resilience and Operational Excellence concepts
  • Familiarity with concepts like Zero Touch/Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
  • Conversant with TLS protocols able trouble shoot application flow issues
  • Well versed with network tools like openssl, curl, tcpdump, wireshark

Desired technical skills

  • Contribute and execute F5 ADC product roadmap/evolution – upgrades and new features
  • Problem solving and assists with any recommended remediation/ changes to correct (example: script and automate routine tasks)
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and ServiceNow tools for collaboration

Additional assets:

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline and Automation technologies for build and deployment  – Ansible, Jenkins
  • Good knowledge of IT security

Education & Experience

University degree in computer science or related field. Or equivalent work experience.

5-7 years of experience in a technical solution and operational support area
