While we have employees across the country, we are looking to fill this particular role with someone based near our headquarters in Seattle who can commit to a hybrid schedule for more face-to-face interactions with team members.
The Job
Do you love building teams and mentoring engineers? Are you someone who can’t help checking graphs throughout the day to know how systems are performing? Are you interested in the technologies that serve as a foundation for which engineering teams build their products? If so, the Omnidian Platform Engineering team might be for you! Our team maintains our cloud infrastructure and our build and deployment tooling, builds and maintains shared services for engineering teams, and works to improve developer experience. We work collaboratively with the rest of engineering and we do our best to ensure they have the tools they need for success.
As the Senior Manager of Platform Engineering, you will both lead and grow our Platform Engineering team, and provide technical leadership to our growing engineering organization. As a people manager, you’ll provide both technical and professional mentorship to your team, actively guiding them in their career growth journeys. As a technical leader you’ll help our engineering organization mature over time by introducing improvements to our engineering processes and practices, and by taking an active role in the education and development of our engineers. You’ll report to our Senior Vice President of Engineering.
