Course: Fluid Mechanics and Fluids Lab

This lecture and lab course employs hands-on demonstrations and experiments to provide students with real-life exposure to and experience with the mechanical principles of incompressible fluids. With a focus on water and its origins and characteristics in terms of civil engineering applications, the course covers topics such as water shed management, storage, piping (pressurized and non-pressurized flow) and open channels.

What You Will Do:

  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
  • Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University

Qualifications:

Minimum: Master's in Civil Engineering or related field

Preferred: PhD in Civil Engineering or related field, a Civil Engineer PE, and 5 years of experience
