How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?


 

Accountable for the production & product delivery to the customer on a given scope (site / region / country etc.). Manage team(s) covering different activities in Secondary Production (eg. operations technicians, maintenance, product compliance etc).
INCLUDE Cluster/Country/Site Secondary Production Operations management


 

- Provides technical support to the production department to optimise equipment performance and reliability

- Oversees the commissioning and start-up of new equipment

- Carries out risk analyses and reports on various tests in accordance with internal procedures.

- Monitor and adjust critical variables in distillation and purification processes to ensure product purity and minimise losses. Designs and drafts specifications for new installations or modifications to existing ones

- Coordinates the various departments to ensure the industrialisation and validation of new products on site
- Manage the various product tranfilling facilities.
- Develop, interpret and update P&ID diagrams and PFDs
- Draft and update standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Draft detailed functional analyses describing the operational logic of the equipment, enabling the automation teams to configure the PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
- Active on-site presence: Maintain a dynamic, day-to-day presence on site to closely monitor plant performance, diagnose faults on site, identify process deviations and provide immediate technical support.
- Cross-functional collaboration between Production and Maintenance: Work in close synergy with production teams (to understand operational constraints) and maintenance teams (to plan shutdowns, improve equipment reliability and resolve complex faults).
- Synergy with the HSE department: Actively participate in risk analyses (e.g. HAZOP and FMEA reviews), ensure compliance with process safety requirements and verify that all process modifications adhere to strict occupational safety standards, as well as managing plant modifications (MOC).
- Collaboration with the Quality team: Work together to reduce non-conformities, participate in root cause analyses in the event of product deviations, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Liaising with the Projects and Development teams: Collaborating on the launch of new products, the purchase of new equipment or the expansion of the plant, ensuring the smooth transfer of process data from ‘project’ mode to ‘production’ mode (commissioning and start-up).

Background Requirements:
- Educational Level: Must have Masters's Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Work Experience: More than 3 years experience in related fields
- Strong fundamentals in Distillation Process.

- Knowledge of fluid dynamics networks (estimating pressure drops, selecting and sizing pumps, control valves and pipework).
