This role will provide product leadership to the collection of tools and services and teams that underlie our Internal Developer Platform and enable the software lifecycle across SoFi Technologies (consumer product) and Galileo Technologies (platform).

You will have an opportunity to own, shape and deliver compelling best-in-class experiences for our internal developer community of 600 engineers and growing. You will be responsible for partnering with our engineering leaders and customers and capturing/communicating the vision, identifying opportunities, setting goals and priorities, and building out the developer journeys. As a product leader in our organization, we look to you to set big, ambitious goals, be gritty, and hold yourself and your cross-functional teams accountable to deliver results on behalf of our developers. We anticipate this role to expand over time and include building out a product management team to scale and mature our platform work. You will be a vocal and empathetic developer advocate, influencing and building cross-functional experiences with stakeholders across the organization including our business teams, risk and compliance, security, legal, and finance.

This role is inherently cross-functional—you will work closely with engineering, design, data science, marketing, operations, finance, risk, legal, compliance and executive teams to set business objectives, define product strategy, prioritize features and execute on them. You’ll play the critical bridging the technical and business worlds to enhance our ability to drive profitable business growth while managing risk and enabling our technology strategy.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead product management for our internal developer platform.
  • Create and evangelize the product vision and multi-year product roadmap, including prioritizing and driving backlogs with our engineering teams
  • Communicate the vision, strategy, execution plan and company impact/learnings to all stakeholders including the highest levels of leadership in the company
  • Be forward thinking and leverage technology, data, and tools, including ML or AI,  that will provide a significantly differentiated value to our strategy
  • Collaborate closely with the full cross-functional team (e.g., marketing, product, design, engineering, platform, data, compliance, risk, finance and operations) for your line of business & initiatives, to help execute on the strategic vision

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 years of product management experience, at least 5 leading developer-facing products and/or platforms
  • Experience mentoring / leading a product team or cross-functional team
  • Full stack “operator”: ability to both create and execute the business and product strategy; with clear objectives, but limited, ambiguous, or varied direction
  • Ability to operate cross-functionally, leading and influencing colleagues, and ultimately leading to timely tactical decision making to advance our objectives
  • Data-driven approach and excellent analytical skills with a strong understanding of how data and modeling can drive focus and results
  • Superior communication skills, written and verbal. Experience presenting to senior-most company leadership
  • Experience delivering quality software that solves business and user needs
  • Passion for your customers! You do right by them, always

Nice to have:

  • Advanced engineering or data science degree
  • Experience as a developer
  • Experience in a cold start business or startup environment; entrepreneurial mindset
  • Experience in the financial services sector or another highly regulated industry
