Purpose

Gain administrative and Human Resources experience with University Housing and Dining Human Resources!

This HR Student Associate will assist the HR team responsible for workers’ compensation, separations, and leave management. They will work independently on administrative functions such as data entry, filing, using the copier, as well as providing in-person customer service. They will also work on ad hoc tasks as needed.

This position is open for work-study and non-work-study applicants.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the HR team in the areas of workers’ compensation, employee separations, and leave management.

  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate HR records and documentation.

  • Scan, file, copy, and organize confidential employee documents.

  • Provide professional in-person customer service and assist with routine HR inquiries.

  • Support special projects and complete other administrative tasks as assigned.

  • Ability to work independently and proactively

  • College student in good academic standing

  • Must be available to start in fall 2026 and have the availability to work 10-12 hours per week during our regular office hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm)

  • Ability to multi-task and balance work and school

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred

  • Experience working in an office setting

Compensation

$13.75 per hour

Work Shift

We are located in the Kinsolving Building at 200 West Dean Keeton St. and our work shift hours are: Monday through Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm. Selected students will work with their supervisor to determine hours and days of work.
