Job Description:

About the Role

The consultant will be expected to provide safe, independent consultant practice, and have competence and experience of nuclear medicine and PET-CT, perform stress tests independently, provide therapy such as Iodine 131, consultations for therapy, injections for Yttrium knee therapy and shunt studies, as well as be able to report the variety of nuclear medicine and PET studies.

Classifications for this position will range from HN16 - HN56 dependent on Level of Experience

+ an additional over award of $100-$125 per hour.

Your Contribution

  • Medical Degree from a medical school recognized in Victoria
  • Nuclear Medicine FRACP/FRANZCR
  • RANZCR or RACP Fellowship
  • Registration with AHPRA
  • Good standing with own Medical Defence Organisation
  • Radiation Use Licence
  • Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain/ Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willing to obtain (Select which is applicable)

St Vincent's Medical Imaging Department

St. Vincent’s Medical Imaging Department (MID) is a tertiary imaging department providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic and interventional imaging services to SVHM’s inpatients and outpatients. St Vincent’s Medical Imaging (MI) provides four comprehensive diagnostic imaging programs across three campus sites:

  • Medical Imaging Department (MID)
  • St Vincent’s Private Radiology (SVPR)
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging Centre (MRI)
  • Positron Emission Tomography Centre (PET).

The Imaging department provides 150,000+ image guided therapies yearly across campus to support and facilitate the quaternary services provided by SVHM. All diagnostic modalities are offered, including PET/CT, which is fully integrated into the Medical Imaging Department.

St. Vincent’s Private Radiology (SVPR) is a co-located comprehensive private radiology service providing imaging services to St. Vincent Private Hospital, the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and private outpatients.
