The Manufacturing Process Engineer combines manufacturing technology with management science, applying engineering practices and addressing management challenges in production. Their primary role is to optimize production processes, ensuring efficient use of material, technological and human resources, and complying with current regulations. They work in a project team environment, focusing on capacity increases, scrap reduction, process improvements, poka-yoke design, and material and/or product and process changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the manufacturing process for achieve the operational goals
  • Create and establish a work plan for the activities to be carried out
  • Create and update process documentation
  • Review and report process failures and scrap reduction.
  • Troubleshoot a new and unknown problem in manufacturing process
  • Work together with quality on those criteria that are not defined for the resolution of visual problems.
  • Design, execute, test and update systems or processes, such as poka-yokes, fixtures, etc.
  • Work closely with related departments in a self-directed team environment to evaluate opportunities to improve efficiency, production and manufacturing processes.
  • Work together with projects teams for successfully implement new products / lines  
  • Be part of the team for developing and implement new strategies / projects that help the organization
  • Review and approve the technical contents of the QMS Document and its consistency with other QMS documents on behalf of the Process Engineering Manager
  • Use of good documentation practices


 

Requirements:
  • Professional or final semester student of Mechanics, Electronics, Administration or Industrial Engineering
  • 6 months to 3 years of experience related to the position.
  • Level of written and spoken English (ESSENTIAL)
  • Experience in production transfers
  • Experience in problem-solving techniques
  • Experience in project management knowledge
  • Familiar with the use of common comparison software packages
  • Experience in manufacturing processes
  • Experience in machinery
  • Experience in project environments
  • Familiar with the SPC and Lean Tools use.
