A Day in the Life

Are you detail-oriented and enjoy organizing events that make a difference? As an Event Operations Planner at Medtronic, you will play a key role in coordinating impactful training and education events for Healthcare Professionals. Your organizational skills and creativity will help deliver exceptional experiences for attendees and stakeholders.

This role is based in Prague, Czech Republic, and requires working in the office two days per week. We are happy to discuss accommodation or adjustments to support your working preferences and needs.


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Coordinate Events: Organize digital and in-person events from start to finish, working closely with project and business stakeholders. 
  • Handle Logistics: Manage all event logistics, including creating event websites, tracking budgets, and ensuring smooth on time execution. 
  • Monitor Participation: Track registrations, respond to inquiries, and provide clear event statistics to stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate Internationally: Communicate with colleagues across the EMEA region to ensure alignment and support. 
  • Manage Contracts: Oversee contracts in line with company policies and legal requirements, while maintaining clear communication with external Medtronic speakers. 
  • Process Payments: Use the company system to process payments for event suppliers and assist with payment-related queries. 

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience: At least 1.5 years of experience in event planning, hospitality, or a similar role. 
  • Communication Skills: Proficiency in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully. 
  • Interpersonal Skills: A collaborative mindset and a thoughtful approach to working with others. 
  • Organizational Strengths: Strong time management and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. 
  • Resilience: The ability to stay calm and focused under pressure. 
  • Flexibility: A willingness to travel internationally for events, if required.
