Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead development teams building Azure-based, enterprise-grade medical software. The Engineering Manager will drive execution, compliance, security-first delivery, and event-driven architecture adoption, ensuring high-quality outcomes in regulated healthcare environments.

This role requires a balance of technical depth, leadership skills, and regulatory awareness to successfully deliver innovative healthcare solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery Ownership: Manage end-to-end delivery of regulated medical software, ensuring timelines, quality, and compliance.

• Design Pattern Adoption: Guide teams in applying enterprise design patterns, event-driven architectures, and microservices best practices.

• Cybersecurity Leadership: Work with architects to embed security practices (secure coding, vulnerability scans, penetration testing, compliance reporting) into the SDLC.

• Process & Compliance: Ensure development aligns with ISO 13485, IEC 62304, FDA, HIPAA/GDPR through proper documentation, traceability, and risk management.

• Collaboration with Architect: Translate high-level architectures into actionable tasks, enforcing adherence to Azure cloud-native best practices.

• Team Leadership: Mentor engineers in DevOps, CI/CD, containers, and event-streaming platforms.

• Risk Management: Proactively identify delivery risks around scalability, security, or compliance and mitigate them early.

MUST HAVES:-

• Strong expertise in Java/.NET microservices, Angular/React frontends, and API-driven architectures
• Proven success in delivering Azure-based enterprise applications

Required Skills & Experience

• 14+ years of experience, with at least 3+ years in engineering management.

• Proven background in Java/.NET microservices, Angular/React frontends, and API-driven architectures.

• Proven success in delivering Azure-based enterprise applications in regulated industries.

• Hands-on understanding of event-streaming platforms (Kafka, Azure Event Hub, Service Bus).

• Strong knowledge of design patterns, secure SDLC, and compliance-driven delivery models.

• Strong background in Agile/Scrum methodologies and distributed team management.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Exposure to risk management and documentation practices for regulated environments.

• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration.

• Prior experience working with global teams in a medical or healthcare software context.
