Job Description​

The Ambassador is the initial, positive contact point for patient, visitor, and customer encounters.  Duties include basic office procedures, telephone and face-to-face customer communications, and other clerical duties to support the facility.  The Ambassador will be at specific entrances within the hospital and will provide a warm, professional, and friendly greeting to those who enter the building. 

• Ensure communication about visitor policy including masking.  

• Ensure that necessary personal protective equipment is accessible for those entering the building at various entrances. 

• Provide information and direction to any patient and/or visitor of the facility at an information desk.  

• Locate patients on the computer and provide clear and concise information and direction to the visitor using various communication tools include oral and written directions.   

• Receive patient belongings or deliveries and will be responsible for logging/documenting these items and will ensure that they are delivered timely.  

• May assist in escorting a visitor to a specific destination and should have a strong overall knowledge of the facility layout. 

• Answer incoming phone calls and will take the necessary action on the calls as needed. 

Work Shift: 5:15 AM - 5:45 PM - Thursday and Friday
