Senior Manager, Business Analysis & Insights – Operational Metrics

As WMC enters its “Era of Measurement”, the Senior Manager, Business Analysis & Insights – Operational Metrics role will drive an organization-wide measurement initiative to help cross-functional leaders better understand how to optimize the impact of their teams and reach their strategic and financial objectives. This role will serve as a senior-level thought partner to Directors, VPs and above on a high-visibility project, and reports into centralized insights team within Business Operations and creates value through actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as an insights-driven thought partner to all cross-functional leadership to help them understand how to accelerate the impact of teams by measuring inputs/outputs and setting effective targets within Walmart’s ads business
Work with cross-functional teams to understand how they operate, be a thought partner in how to measure inputs/outputs and create alignment on steps to measure team activity and productivity
Create frameworks and help quantify the impact of initiatives in terms of revenue, time savings, and other success metrics.
Own all analytical projects and recommendations on how to best grow the business, including conducting deep dives and other ad hoc analysis as needed. Deliverables also include leading business reviews with WMC leadership teams at the SVP/VP levels and providing fact-based narratives and commentary.
Embrace hypothesis-first mentality in testing theories and be able to direct the build of best-in-class cross-functional reporting.
Help build capabilities on evaluating and tracking incremental revenue opportunities across different segments of the business.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in economics, business or STEM and 5-10 years relevant work experience. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Previous analytics or consulting/strategy experience with familiarity with complex data sets preferred. Media & Advertising, eCommerce, CPG/retail background a plus.
Possesses strong critical thinking skills, business acumen and has demonstrated success in story-telling with data.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, ability to manage both senior stakeholders cross-functional projects to deliver recommendations in a timely manner.
Strong Excel/Powerpoint skills, with proficiency in SQL, PowerBI/Tableau preferred.
Superb attention to detail and a strong commitment to data integrity.

Hoboken, New Jersey US-10279:The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00-$186,000.00
San Bruno, California US-08848:The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00-$202,000.00
Bentonville, Arkansas US-09401:The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
