As a key member of the Asset Intelligence Modelling Team reporting to the Modelling Manager you will be part of a team that is leading the hydraulic modelling capability for the business. 

 

The Engineering Data Technician role is key to the effective running of the Modelling Team, providing technical support to the team to enable efficiency, leading on the survey coordination process, managing the model libraries and keeping our hydraulic models up to date. 

 

We are looking for candidates with aptitude for data manipulation and customer focus. Training will be provided as required 

 

The role will support a culture of collaboration and integration, providing exceptional service to our customers, stakeholders and the wider AW business.

What does it take to be a Engineering Data Technician?  

  • Experience in managing databases  

  • Demonstrates tenacity, resilience and growth mindset in a fast paced environment  

  • Ability to follow and challenge process’ and procedures. 

  • Aptitude for data analysis and interpolation on multiple inputs, deriving hypothesis, and making decisions from the outputs. 

  • Performance of data entry and managing data quality. 

  • Managing and prioritising own time and activities in a complex and evolving environment 

  • Awareness of the modelling software packages InfoWorks ICM & WS Pro and InfoAsset  

  • An engineering mindset with an enjoyment of problem solving. 

  • Confident communicating in varying formats to immediate stakeholders. 

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, visual basic and teams. 

  • Collaborative and an active participant at in person events and in digital environments. 

  • Driving licence (or evidence that you are working towards obtaining your licence).
