THUNDER | JOB DESCRIPTION

FP&A Senior Analyst

Location: Remote - Philippines, Greater Manila only 

Shift: Nightshift (9pm - 6am PH) 

Department: Finance

Reporting to: Jen Keller, Controller 

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a seasoned finance professional with a proven track record in FP&A roles. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial modeling, cashflow forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. They should possess strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and senior management.

Roles + Responsibilities

Reporting to the company Controller the FP&A Manager will hold responsibility for: 

  • Lead the development and implementation of financial planning processes, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial models and analyses to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth.
  • Build and maintain cashflow forecast models.
  • Provide actionable insights to senior management based on financial performance and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitor and analyze financial results, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and track key financial metrics and performance indicators.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline FP&A processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Assist with necessary ad hoc analysis projects. 
  • Help maintain FP&A tool, Jirav.
  • Perform budget vs actual variance analysis on a regular cadence.
  • Maintain and improve the company rolling 13 week cashflow forecast.
  • Help Controller create month end schedules in Excel/G sheets to increase efficiency of reconciliations.
  • Update and reduce current manual reporting.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A roles, with a focus on financial modeling and analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial planning software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. 
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Strongly-Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Financial Modeling Experience 
  • Exposure to Salesforce CRM Software
  • Familiarity with GSuite/Google Docs/Google Sheets Product Suite 
  • Prior experience with reporting in Quickbooks online
