Summary of the Position:

First year MBA students are invited to apply for a Summer Associate role in our Leadership Development Program based in New York City.  Our Summer Associates spend 10 weeks working with a Tishman Speyer team in one of our functional areas.   This is an opportunity to gain hands-on real estate experience, while contributing in a meaningful way to Tishman Speyer’s business.  In addition to the day-to-day support you receive from colleagues and peers, a number of asset tours and team building events deepen your engagement in the real estate industry and Tishman Speyer’s culture.

Top performing Summer Associates may receive a full-time offer to join our full-time Leadership Development Program, a program designed to facilitate multi-disciplinary training and cultivate well-rounded real estate professionals. Associates gain this experience through a series of rotations across Tishman Speyer’s core functional areas.  We anticipate that after 1-3 rotations, Associates will continue to build expertise within a specific function or geography.  Past rotations have included the following business areas:

  • Acquisitions

  • Affordable Housing

  • Industrial

  • Asset Management

  • Corporate Strategy

  • Debt Capital Markets

  • Design & Construction (pre-acquisitions development)

  • Development

  • Equity Capital Markets

  • Innovation & New Business Development

  • Portfolio Management

  • Studio (Co-Working)

  • Sustainability

  • Venture & Proptech

The base annual compensation rate for this role will be $150,000, which will be prorated for the time you are with us.

We will begin reviewing resumes the first week of December and will get back to all candidates by mid-December. First round interviews will take place virtually beginning first week of January. Subsequent interviews will follow quickly thereafter. If you are a fit for our organization, we will make you an offer in either January or February and work closely to identify a summer assignment that aligns your interests with Tishman Speyer’s business needs.
