SAP Financial Contract Accounts (FICA) Analyst

Description -

We are seeking a skilled and experienced SAP FICA to join our team and contribute to the successful implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of the SAP FICA module. As an integral member of our finance IT team, candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing financial contract accounting processes, ensuring accurate billing, payments, and revenue recognition. Expertise in SAP FICA will be instrumental in supporting the organization's financial operations and delivering exceptional services to our business partners.

Responsibilities:

SAP FICA Configuration: Utilize in-depth knowledge of SAP FICA module to configure and customize the system to meet the organization's financial contract accounting requirements. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards. Billing and Invoicing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including billing and collections, to design and implement efficient billing and invoicing processes. Ensure accurate and timely billing of customers and business partners. Revenue Recognition: Develop and maintain revenue recognition rules and procedures in SAP FICA. Monitor revenue recognition processes to ensure proper accounting treatment and compliance with accounting principles. Collections and Payment Processing: Oversee payment processing activities and collections processes in SAP FICA. Address any payment-related issues and work to optimize collections efficiency. Integration with other SAP Modules: Work closely with SAP functional consultants and IT teams to integrate SAP FICA with other relevant SAP modules, such as SAP FI, SAP AR, and SAP SD, SAP SCM to achieve seamless data flow and end-to-end process integration. Issue Resolution and Support: Provide expert-level support to resolve SAP FICA-related issues and incidents. Troubleshoot and analyze problems, proposing effective solutions to ensure system stability and optimal performance. Testing and Documentation: Perform comprehensive testing of SAP FICA configurations and enhancements. Document processes, system changes, and user guides for reference and knowledge sharing. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization and system enhancements. Propose and implement best practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial contract accounting processes. End-User Training: Conduct training sessions for end-users to promote proper usage of SAP FICA functionalities and enhance end-user competency. Compliance and Audit Support: Collaborate with internal and external auditors to provide relevant documentation and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:


Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.

7 to 12 years of total experience
Proven experience working with SAP FICA module, including configuration and customization.
Strong understanding of financial contract accounting processes and revenue recognition principles.
Knowledge of integration points between SAP FICA and other SAP modules.
Prior experience in billing, collections, and payment processing within an SAP environment.
Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and end-users.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
SAP FICA certification (optional but preferred).
