Job Summary
This job leads a team responsible for the stability, availability, reliability, and serviceability of products. Must have a solid grasp of systems and software architectures. It will guide the team in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems while also debugging and optimizing code. It will help the team deliver self-service tooling and frameworks to manage infrastructure and engineering workflows. It will drive programs to manage change, enhance security and analyze and improve the performance and efficiency of services. It will partner with engineering teams, our vendors and more to deliver a high level of service. May manage a team including exempt and non-exempt employees. Provides subject matter guidance to employees as required. Develops processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies. Building high-performing, cohesive teams by influencing organizational design, communicating team strategy, fostering collaboration
Leading technical solutions for infrastructure and application management, monitoring, and operations with standardization and automation focus
Providing cybersecurity support such as vulnerability cleanup, secure server configuration, testing and validation, technical controls implementation and incident remediation
Working closely with engineering leaders to ensure software releases are well-designed, planned, implemented, released, and monitored
Measuring and improving reliability, quality and efficiency of platforms
Guiding a variety of complex analytical duties in the planning, deployment, testing and evaluation of products
Guiding the design and implementation of reliable and scalable infrastructure solutions with best practices, tool use, and quality assurance
Partnering with cross-functional teams and vendors to identify and drive improvements including production quality, operational efficiency, engineering productivity
Providing training and coaching to peers and more junior Site Reliability Engineering team members
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
