Job Summary

We are hiring a Staff Product Development Engineer to serve as a technical leader within the Bangalore based AI Core team, partnering closely with U.S. AI Core engineering leadership to design and deliver foundational AI platform capabilities across Ad Platforms. This role will lead system design and implementation of reusable AI application components, standardized agent orchestration systems, model integration services, and shared platform services that serve as common building blocks across multiple Ad Platform teams. You will play a hands-on role in shaping architecture, defining engineering standards, and mentoring engineers, while driving delivery of scalable, production grade AI systems. This position is deeply technical and execution focused, with accountability for backend platform design, implementation quality, and long term maintainability of AI Core components.

Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership and System Design

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services supporting AI agent frameworks, orchestration layers, and shared AI platform capabilities.

• Define system boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable abstractions for AI application components across Ad Platforms

• Partner with U.S. AI Core technical leaders to align on design standards and cross regional consistency.

• Drive adoption of structured agent orchestration approaches using frameworks such as LangGraph or similar workflow-based systems.

Backend Engineering and Platform Development

• Build and evolve reusable AI agent capabilities, model integration layers, and orchestration services.

• Develop robust APIs and backend services that support internal control plane applications and developer facing tooling.

• Ensure high standards of reliability, scalability, observability, and production readiness across AI Core systems.

• Contribute directly to code in critical areas of the platform. Engineering Standards and Technical Quality

• Establish and enforce backend best practices for testing, CI/CD, code quality, and operational excellence.

• Guide technical reviews, mentor engineers on system design, and raise the bar for engineering rigor.

• Identify technical risks early and propose scalable, maintainable solutions. Cross Functional and Cross Regional Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with product, infrastructure, security, and governance teams to ensure AI systems meet enterprise requirements.

• Serve as a technical point of contact between Bangalore and U.S. AI Core teams.

• Influence technical direction and roadmap decisions through strong engineering judgment and data driven tradeoffs.

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend software engineering experience building scalable distributed systems.

• Strong proficiency in Python with deep experience designing production grade backend services and APIs.

• Experience building AI powered systems, reusable platform components, or developer tooling in production environments.

• Hands on experience integrating LLM APIs and designing structured agent orchestration systems using frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or similar workflow-based AI architectures. Strong understanding of system design, service boundaries, and scalable architecture patterns.

• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical design discussions.

• Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical decisions across teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building reusable AI platform services used across multiple product teams.

• Experience designing multi agent systems and workflow-based orchestration logic.

• Knowledge of AI governance, evaluation frameworks, observability, or compliance considerations.

• Experience working in globally distributed engineering organizations.

• Experience operating in enterprise cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Experience with:

• Scalable backend systems and microservices.

• AI agent orchestration frameworks and workflow-based systems.

• Model integration layers and shared AI services.

• Observability, logging, and production monitoring.

• Enterprise cloud platforms and distributed collaboration.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (Master’s preferred), or equivalent experience
