Job Summary
Working in compliance with the national accreditation standards, provincial and regional standards of practice for safety and quality, the Sr Nursing Manager will lead the implementation of higher standards of care and services and oversee the range of clinical care and services provided to patients across Canada.
Specific Responsibilities
- Duties and responsibilities generally include but are not limited to:
- Formulates, interprets and implements the philosophy, objectives, policies, and standards for nursing care through the implementation of educational, research and human resource services.
- Collaborates with the Nursing Managers to determine the staffing needs for the INVIVA clinics, develops and implements a marketing and recruitment and retention plan to maintain adequate staffing levels of competent nursing staff.
- Collaborates with the Nursing Managers and nursing staff to promote a spirit of inquiry and to develop research standards/studies for the investigation of best practices to promote performance improvement based on data and outcomes.
- Lead efforts for the promotion of Nursing Research and Evidence Practice Nursing
- Leads the development of professional practice criteria for establishing standards of patient care, nursing practice in collaboration with nursing quality and magnet criteria.
- Participates in strategic planning initiatives and formulates annual goals and objectives that support the goals of INVIVA.
- Ensure that all programs/projects are executed according to customer expectations and KPIs/metrics.
- Responsible for the formulation and monitoring of the nursing budget and meeting financial targets.
- Support the Director, Nursing, for monthly INVIVA financial management and promote operational efficiencies and cost-savings.
- Ensure operational KPI’s are in place to monitor efficiencies across the portfolio and continually execute operations efficiently.
- Participates with other leaders in short term and long term strategic planning related to budgets.
- Maintains awareness of current trends and legislation affecting the nursing profession and healthcare delivery.
General Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute presentations, demonstrations and/or site visits to ensure professional service delivery and ensure professional competent workforce
- Maintain industry and product knowledge and inform Company of changing market conditions and competitive issues that could potentially affect the company or the workforce
- Evaluate the job performance of nursing staff by reviewing an employee's performance of completed work assignments and work techniques and gives staff suggestions on improving their work performance.
- Follow company Health and Safety and expense policies and follow privacy and document retention policy.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor of Nursing degree;
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or related discipline is considered an asset;
- Active Registration with the College of Registered Nurses
- Ability to communicate fluently in English; French an asset;
- Minimum of 5 years of management/leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams in a health services setting,
- Experience managing the operations of an organization inclusive of quality and continuous improvement, planning, administration, staffing, supervision, budgeting and reporting;
- Experience working with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic vision and organizational planning;
- Demonstrated ability to build effective work relationships/partnerships with internal and external individuals, stakeholders and partner organizations;

$99,700 - $166,100
