Manufacturing Tech Lead

We are looking for a Manufacturing Tech Lead to join our Shelby team!

As our Manufacturing Tech Lead you will, perform functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. You will use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. You will also determine and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Additionally, you will work with engineers in conducting experiments.

Your Challenge

  • Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining programs, assembly documentation, routings and processes used in the fabrication of complex products.
  • Enter Teardown Reports in our operating system obtained from Mechanics.
  • Order parts required for Work Orders.
  • Work closely with Customer Service to ensure we comply with customer demands.
  • Make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new and existing processes.
  • Interface with various groups to coordinate new product release to production.

What You Bring

  • High School or equivalent required.
  • 2-5 years’ experience of repair and overhaul of parts in aerospace industry, including hydraulics, highly preferred.
  • Excellent manual dexterity with knowledge of basic hand tools, disassembly and assembly practices, and test and inspection tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints and detailed work instructions.
  • Ability to be productive and complete quality work in an independent work environment.
