The opportunity
Join our dynamic Technology Centers located in multiple locations as an R&D Mechanical Designer for our Global Multi-Physic Simulation Team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that is at the forefront of innovation and technology. You will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing products that have a global impact.
How you’ll make an impact
Create detailed and parametrized CAD models for components and assemblies
Collaborate with engineers to develop new products and optimize existing ones
Prepare defeatured geometries for subsequent analysis by simulation analysts
Perform simulations using internally developed tools to validate design concepts
Assist in prototyping and testing activities to validate designs
Prepare technical drawings and documentation for manufacturing
Support the technology transfer from R&D to the engineering department by preparing design guidelines and training materials
Provide technical support to other departments (engineering, product management, marketing, and sales)
Your background
PhD or MSc education in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering field
Existing work experience in Mechanical Engineering is beneficial
Advanced knowledge of structures subject to structural loads such as seismic, fatigue, shock and thermal
Experience in the finite element analysis and in the use of the following software: ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS nCode, ANSYS CFX/FLUENT
Knowledge of the following programming languages: Matlab, Visual Basic, Python, solid bases in vibrational fatigue and dynamics
Experience in structural testing and use of sensors such as strain gauges, load cells and accelerometers
Knowledge of materials properties and performance under different environmental conditions
Fluent English, Italian is a big plus
