The treasury team is responsible for the effective and efficient liquidity management of the banking book of CBA N.V.. In this role you will report to the Head of Treasury and as a team you will be monitoring the balance sheet performance and be responsible for the compliance to the Dutch regulatory liquidity and capital requirements. The team also reports into the wider CBA Treasury Chief Investment Office (CIO) within the Financial Services division of the Group. The Chief Investment Office (CIO) within Group Treasury is a 45-person global team focused on managing the market risks inherent in the Group’s Balance sheet. 

Do work that matters:

  • Manage daily Treasury operations and ensure CBA N.V. is liquid and prudently funded at all times, in line with all Dutch regulatory requirements and CBA Group limits & Delegations. Broad responsibility for a variety of desk reporting requirements including trade entry, position keeping and forecasting;
  • Contribute to broader CBA N.V. strategy for maintaining and growing revenue, including the optimization of funding for the balance sheet and Develop a business environment that excels in service by building strong relationships with internal and external clients;
  • Drive product development and system enhancements within the Treasury function and contribute to the SREP and ILAAP modelling, and undertake other analysis for the Head of Treasury and ALCO as required;
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the external global financial markets environment in order to implement effective risk management strategies;
  • Assist Head of Treasury engagement with regulators and central banks to maintain a close working relationship and implement Regulatory requirements and related responsibilities;
  • Contribute to the review of local policies. Ensure adherence to the Group Treasury framework and dealing delegations;
  • Demonstrate consistent capability to manage risk effectively, consistent with the business strategy and Risk Appetite and ensure adherence to all compliance requirements including mandatory learning and off premises dealing.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Relevant higher education (minimum a Bachelor’s in finance or similar) and 5-8 years' experience in a treasury. Given the small team and breadth of the role, those with experience in other related departments will also be considered;
  • Good knowledge of financial market products, macroeconomic themes and the market environment in Europe;
  • Strong understanding of funding and liquidity requirements for efficient balance sheet management;
  • The role requires a highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to support and facilitate internal and external clients;
  • Be inquisitive, with strong analytical, problem solving and numerical skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret large amounts of data;
  • System experience with Murex, Wall Street and Bloomberg;
  • Entrepreneurial, flexible and enthusiastic to work in a small and dynamic team.
