We are looking for a skilled and motivated QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing our testing processes, ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. What to expect from the role?

• Strong background in both manual and automated testing.

• Skills: Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA) and automation frameworks (e.g., Rest Assured, Cypress/Playwright, Appium).

• Proficient in API test automation using Rest Assured and Java.

• Strong knowledge of Java, data structures, OOP concepts, and their applications.

• Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum), with experience in API testing, app testing, load/performance testing, and UI testing.

• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings clearly.

• Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.

• Experience in creating, reviewing, and updating API automation test cases for product functionalities.

• Ensure that the product under test meets both functional and business requirements.

• Test system functionalities to ensure the delivery of a functionally correct product.

• Hands-on experience in building frameworks from scratch and automating new requirements.

• Knowledge of server-side debugging for root cause analysis (RCA) of bugs.

• Conceptual understanding of client-server architecture.

• Good knowledge of CI/CD pipeline integration.

How will your day look at Bureau?

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, participate in sprint planning, and share testing strategies.

• Create, review, and maintain automated test cases for new features, ensuring thorough coverage of functionality.

• Perform API testing using Rest Assured and Java, validating system behaviour and business requirements.

• Conduct manual and automated testing for different aspects of the product including API, UI, and performance, ensuring end-to-end quality.

• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers to ensure timely resolution.

• Work on building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch for new feature rollouts.

• Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline.

• Troubleshoot and debug issues, with a focus on identifying root causes using server-side logs and system monitoring.

What does it take to be in this role?

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field.

• Previous experience working as a QA manual and automation engineer.

• Hand-on experience in testing and automating integration platforms using REST APIs with Java.

• 2-5 years of experience Strong experience in Testing Concepts, Defect Management, Test Case writing and reviewing of test cases.

• Working knowledge of AWS, UNIX or Linux systems.
