What to Expect from the Role
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality through rigorous testing.
Develop and maintain automation frameworks to streamline the testing process.
Validate system behavior and business requirements through API testing.
Debug issues, analyze test results, and assist in delivering functionally correct products.
Ensure automated tests are integrated into CI/CD pipelines for efficient delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Create, review, and maintain automated test cases for new and existing functionalities.
Perform API, UI, and performance testing for end-to-end product quality.
Build automation frameworks from scratch or enhance existing frameworks for new feature rollouts.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for defects using server-side logs and debugging tools.
Work closely with the DevOps team to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Actively participate in sprint planning and share testing strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2-8 years of experience in QA automation and manual testing.
Proficiency in test management tools like JIRA and automation frameworks like Rest Assured, Selenium/Cypress/Playwright, and Appium.
Strong knowledge of Java, data structures, and object-oriented programming (OOP).
Experience in API automation testing using Rest Assured and Java.
Familiarity with SDLC methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
Hands-on experience with AWS, UNIX/Linux systems.
Good knowledge of CI/CD pipeline integration.
Good understanding of debugging issues and checking logs.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
