Coordination Manager Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Substantiation Manager
BAU Activities
• The Coordination Manager Position leads the Process of Reconciliation and Substantiation process of the Accounting Ledger of the Balance Sheet of 18 legal Vehicles that are part of the of Banco Nacional de Mexico. The total accounts or Full Keys considered in the reconciliations process are Product Accounts; Regular High and Low Risk Accounts, Under Threshold and Zero Balance, approximately 25 thousand accounts are covering different legal vehicles. From this universe each cycle, approx. 8 thousand Full Keys are required to be reconciled and substantiated.
The execution process of reconciliation and justification of the accounts is performed on a monthly basis and must be concluded in the 21st. business days each month; classifying and categorizing the accounts into different status: 1) Green Accounts (Reconciled and Supported within the Aging Benchmark); 2) Red Account (Un-reconciled with Breaks identified; un-supported balances and exceeding the aging benchmarks); and 3) Disclose Amounts at Risk (when is required by Account Owners-and identifying possible impacts on the income statement of each of the vehicles).
• The reconciliation process of the various legal vehicles of Banamex is essential, since it confirms the health of balances disclosed in each legal vehicle; the process is duly justified with the appropriate supports from different Subledgers; qualitative and quantitative data from workstream systems and confirming the status of the entire Balance Sheet. The Coordinator Manager will lead the group of Reviewers and Reconcilers and ensure the proper submission of all the accounts subject to be substantiated.
