Reporting to the Manager of IT, the Senior Software Engineer - is focused on developing applications, partnering on product roadmaps, mentoring on-shore and offshore teams, and exploring new technologies. You will provide oversight to delivery of development in project areas like Demand Science, Digital Marketing and Digital Supply Chain while applying concepts and methodologies like Continuous Delivery, Design Thinking and DevOps.
You Will:
Split your time between developing high quality software and guiding a team of offshore and junior developers to deliver against product features and stories
Lead and help determine product prioritization and technology roadmaps with development vendor resources and integration resources.
Influential in determining solution paths for both technical and business problems.
Partner across IT and the business to support agile application development, DevOps with short-cycle iterations to deliver value.
Oversee and provide guidance to IT Outsourcer for application administration, development and configuration.
Participate in all Agile ceremonies, including: planning, pointing, demos, and retros
Prioritize unit tests, both manual and automated, to ensure the highest code quality
Oversee the delivery pipeline using CI/CD best practices
Be accountable and responsible for technical blueprints / designs to develop specific features / stories
Support the Solution Architect in defining the architectural roadmap for products
Define enabling features to achieve a product's architectural roadmaps. Support the product manager and delivery manager in defining non-functional requirements for features.
Accountable to ensure agile teams are implementing the technical standards and patterns approved through the architecture review board.
You Have:
BS/BA or greater in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
7+ yrs. of related software development experience with Visual Studio, C#, Windows, MSSQL and backend data loads, and JavaScript
Experience working in a .NET enterprise environment and and a expert level understanding of OOP/SOLID principles.
Expert in using Git and Azure DevOps, understanding of one-branch or trunk-based development
Experience building and maintaining a CI/CD pipelines
Experience in the following (or comparable): Azure, AWS, GCP, Typescript, Angular, Python (Django), Terraform
Versed in Agile, Continuous Delivery, and DevOps methodologies
Experience with test-driven development using various unit testing frameworks
Demonstrated individual and team success using agile methodologies to deliver
Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred) including Kubernetes, having experience with IaC and Terraform
Ability to work 3 days per week onsite in our Omaha, NE or Chicago, IL office (Tues, Weds & Thurs)
