Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Per Diem Commitment Level: Per Diem Level 1: 32-72 hrs. or Per Diem Level 2: 73-110 hrs. or Per Diem Level 3: 111-144 hrs./ per 6-week schedule
  • Required Travel: Local

What you will do:

  • In this role you, you will provide compassionate, patient centered care to individuals at the Breast Center who require biopsies. 
  • You will educate the patients about their upcoming procedures, helping them understand the what to expect and addressing concerns.
  • You will schedule and coordinate their biopsy appointments.
  • During this vulnerable time, you will offer in person support and reassurance, remaining by the patients side throughout the biopsy procedure.
  • Responsibilities will include reviewing patients’ medications providing clear instructions regarding any medications that may need to be stopped or adjusted prior to the procedure, and ensuring thorough education is completed and documented.
  • You will assist with obtaining informed consent before the biopsy begins and ensure that biopsy specimens are properly labeled and delivered to pathology in a timely manner. 
  • Your role is essential in promoting a safe, supportive, and seamless experience for each patient.

What you will need:

  • Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of Nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
  • License: IL RN License
  • Certification: CPR BLS required (American Heart Association)
  • Skills:  Previous experience in nursing highly preferred.
