The Process Design Leader is involved in the different design phases of new assets across multiple projects and handover to production.

This role is pivotal in ensuring that processes are efficient, compliant with regulations, and aligned with GSK's quality and innovation goals, delivering the continuous improvement of GMP manufacturing technologies through the strong collaboration with MSAT, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, EHS functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Optimization: Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Implement changes to optimize performance, reduce costs and improve safety and compliance standards.

  • Project Management: ensure all projects have harmonized process design strategies, leveraging as-is assets performance experience and innovation. Work in matrix with with FEED and Projects Delivery leaders, delivering the design services from concept to detail design and implementation steps.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality, engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure an integrated approach to process design.

  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to operational teams to ensure proper implementation and use of new processes.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including URS, flow diagrams, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and analysis reports.

Why YOU?

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field. A Master's or Ph.D. is a plus.

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in process design and optimization in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing environment.

  • Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of process engineering principles, continuous improvement techniques (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), and process modeling tools.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data and use statistical tools to make informed decisions.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

  • Languages: Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
