We are seeking a highly motivated Associate, Business Analyst to drive strategic technology initiatives across Global Capital Markets. The role partners closely with stakeholders across the full trade lifecycle—from Front Office through Middle Office, Back Office, Finance/P&L, and Market Risk—to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for technology teams. The position contributes to platform modernization, workflow optimization, and cross-system integration efforts, ensuring technology solutions align with business objectives and regulatory expectations. Success in this role requires strong analytical capabilities, comfort analyzing data and system flows, and the ability to influence stakeholders across diverse functional groups. The role also requires foundational project‑management skills, including coordinating cross‑functional activities, supporting project planning, and helping ensure deliverables are met within expected timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with business and technology stakeholders to capture complete functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring alignment across teams.
  • Translate complex business processes into clear, actionable specifications that enable efficient development and accurate implementation.
  • Maintain comprehensive, well-structured documentation covering system functionality, process flows, and release deliverables.
  • Partner with Front, Middle, and Back Office teams—as well as Finance/P&L and Market Risk—to understand trading workflows and identify requirements and improvement opportunities.
  • Act as a liaison between business partners and developer, QA, and architecture teams, ensuring requirements are feasible, clearly understood, and delivered effectively.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to review data flows, integration points, and system interactions to support robust design and seamless end to end operation.
  • Validate functional designs early in the lifecycle to confirm alignment with business objectives and minimize downstream rework.
  • Support test planning, UAT execution, defect triage, and post release validation to ensure high quality, stable deployments.
  • Manage user stories, sprint activities, and issue tracking within Jira, maintaining structured project documentation in Confluence.
  • Contribute to project governance through transparent status reporting, proactive risk identification, and structured issue management.
  • Assist with project planning activities by tracking timelines, identifying dependencies, and monitoring delivery progress.
  • Coordinate cross functional meetings, action items, and status updates to support project execution.
  • Use SQL, AWS, Python, and related tools to conduct root cause analysis of production issues, assess business impact, and coordinate timely resolution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, Economics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience within investment banking or financial services, with a deep understanding of capital markets workflows.
  • Deep knowledge of front, middle, and back-office processes and the systems that support them.
  • Familiarity with applicable capital markets regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to interpret data models, perform SQL-based analysis, and understand system-to-system integrations.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, BPM/process-mapping tools, and requirements-management tooling.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, with demonstrated ability to influence and manage stakeholders across functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational discipline.
  • Foundational project-management skills, including the ability to coordinate cross-functional activities and support project planning and delivery.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SQL, Python, AWS, and modern data or ML-adjacent tooling.
  • Hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence within Agile or hybrid delivery models.
  • Exposure to market data, pricing, risk, regulatory reporting, or trade-lifecycle systems.
  • Understanding system integration concepts and application lifecycle-management best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to support project planning by maintaining milestone visibility, tracking progress, and coordinating activities across teams.
  • Proven capability working within Agile/hybrid delivery teams, including hands-on participation in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and issue/risk coordination.
