Responsibilities:
Lead and manage aviation programs, ensuring project delivery aligns with budget, schedule, and quality standards.
Oversee project teams, including inspectors, engineers, and contractors, to ensure seamless execution of construction activities.
Review utility coordination and repair requests, resolving conflicts efficiently and ensuring timely completion.
Perform contract documentation duties, such as field measurements of pay items and preparation of daily inspection reports.
Facilitate and attend meetings with stakeholders, preparing and distributing meeting minutes.
Ensure accurate documentation and processing of monthly progress payments.
Monitor contract quantities and prepare change directives and change orders as required.
Oversee materials testing and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Coordinate with staff, clients, and contractors to maintain smooth project operations.
Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including local residents and business owners, and help resolve disputes.
Identify and address project challenges, initiating corrective actions when necessary.
Inform the Project Manager of construction progress and provide updates on problem areas and their resolutions.
Oversee project close-out activities, including preparation of as-built documents and punch list reviews.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support project success.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Construction Engineering, or equivalent experience managing large airport infrastructure projects.
Professional Engineer (PE) designation is preferred but not required.
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or equivalent certification is desired but not required.
Extensive experience in aviation infrastructure projects, including planning, design, and construction, with a focus on public and municipal sectors.
Proven ability to resolve project issues effectively and efficiently.
Familiarity with local agencies and regulations is preferred.
Strong multitasking skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing safety.
Excellent communication skills with a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
